Foxhall Resort is Hiring an Event Sales Manager Near Douglasville, GA

Description
Foxhall Resort is looking for an event sales manager who is responsible for increasing the property's revenues in the wedding and social markets. This position will work closely with other sales staff and the management team to maximize revenues and ensure the company's success and profitability. This position will be heavily focused on prospecting for new business by cold calling or in-person meetings. The position is based on property, with on-site touring and meeting responsibilities.
This position will report to the General Manager and Regional Director of Sales; compensation and benefits are expected to be discussed during the interview process.
Responsibilities
The duties and responsibilities of the events sales manager include but not limited to:
•Solicit, negotiate, and book new event business through different sales approaches, including sales calls, telemarketing, mailings, networking, etc.
•Work with the marketing team to promote Foxhall's event services and venues on relevant websites (i.e. wedding dress/consulting/service websites) and respond to requests promptly.
•Maintain great relationships with potential and existing clients and create personalized experiences with respect to their needs.
•Book venues and catering services for all social events and weddings, detail all aspects of the function and/or guest room block (space requirements, times, menus, themes, guest room details, etc.).
•Monitor customer preferences and trends in the wedding industry in order to develop an effective sales strategy.
•Acquire and maintain a solid base of accounts and achieve the company's sales goals and budget.
•Work with the executive team members to develop the annual budget and sales objective for the property's wedding service.
•Be the initial contact for all social catering events requesting information. Ensure that all inquiries are properly logged into the sales system with all correspondence attached for future follow-ups.
•Monitor all inboxes for sales inquiries and assist with assignments and responses with Sales & Events team.
•Accurately type and disseminate proposals, contracts, and general correspondence in a timely manner.
•Assist with client deposits, rooming lists and follow up.
•Coordinate all communication between the sales department and operational departments in the hotel by assisting with group turnovers; rooming lists; billing; resumes; BEO's or other items deemed necessary for the smooth execution of groups/events.
•Manage customer services assisting with the setup of site visits, board meetings, menu testing, and planning meetings for definite and potential groups.
•Work directly with the Front Office team to provide accurate rooming list to clients on a timely basis and ensures that all group block cut-off dates are communicated, and blocks are netted for accurate forecasting based on pick-up.
•Work with Banquet team to ensure meeting rooms are set to client expectations and assist clients with last-minute changes needed to ensure a successful event.
•Communicate with banquet, kitchen, setup service staff, front office, accounting as needed.
Qualifications
Required Skills and Experience
All applicants must have the following qualifications to be considered:
•3 years of hospitality sales experience in the Atlanta market and southeast U.S. region
•Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
•Take initiative and have the ability to work independently or as a team
•Ability to work in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment
•Ability to prioritize multiple tasks
•Adaptable to unexpected changes/demands from clients
•Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
•High level of flexibility regarding overtime during busy periods
•Ability to drive
Preferred Qualifications
The following qualifications will be a plus:
•F&B service and event planning/management experience
•Bachelor's degree in hospitality management.
•Delphi experience a plus.
